Biography

Diplomatic Service

Amb. Angeline Kavindu Musili, MBS, is the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Sweden, with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of Finland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Iceland, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania. She was appointed to this position on 4^th October, 2023. She is a career diplomat, having joined the diplomatic service on 1^st July, 1987. She has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters at different levels.

She was first appointed Ambassador on 22^nd April, 2022 and deployed as Director, Americas and the Caribbean. Prior to the appointment, she served as Director, Europe and the Commonwealth (2020-2022) and as Acting Director as well as Desk Officer for most European Countries between 2018 and 2019. She has served at different levels in Kenya Foreign Missions, notably in Zimbabwe (1992-1996) , Egypt (1999-2004) and Tanzania (2013-2018), She has represented Government of Kenya in several international conferences and meetings. Between 2008 and 2013, she headed the Protocol Department, Office of the Vice President.

Academic Credentials

Ambassador Angeline Kavindu Musili holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya(2013), Master of Public Administration (Executive) from Moi University (2011), Bachelor of Business Studies from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as well as an International Diploma in Computer Studies. She is a PhD candidature pursuing Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations (coursework undertaken at the University of Dar es Salaam between 2014 and 2017, then transferred to University of Nairobi). For High School and Primary education, Ambassador Angeline schooled in Kathonzweni Secondary and Kavumbu Primary schools in Makueni County, respectively.
