CERTIFICATES 


 

BIRTH OR DUPLICATE BIRTH CERTIFICATE


To obtain a birth or duplicate birth certificate an Application Form or a 

Search Form respectively must be completed and submitted to the Embassy with the following documents.


1. Application for registration of birth of a citizen of Kenya occuring abroad:

Requirements


a. Complete Form BDA 1 in duplicate
b. Certified Photocopy for parents Kenya passport, ID and  Birth Certificate

c. Certified Copy of birth certificate from the country where birth took place or         an extract of the  population system (Sweden, Finland)

d. Fee -Swedish Kronor. 170.00

f. Self addressed  envelope  indicating  your address with  sufficient   Stamps


2. Application for a duplicate birth certificate:

Requirements


a. Complete a General Search Form

b. Certified  photocopy of a lost or misplaced birth certificate

c. A photocopy of a passport
d. Search fee - Swedish Kronor.500.00

CERTIFICATE OF NO IMPEDIMENT TO MARRIAGE

To obtain certificate of No Impediment to Marriage, a duly completed application form must be submitted to the Embassy with the following documents:

a. Certified Photocopies of the applicant's Kenyan passport / birth certificate and national Identity card.
b. Certified Photocopy of fiancee's passport
c. Fee - Swedish Kronor 1000.00
d. Note: Number 11 on the application must be clearly indicated whether bachelor, spinster, widow, widower or divorcee
e. Kindly indicate  your address and   telephone   number. 

  
    
CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY

The maximum period of a Certificate of Identity (CIN) is two years. CINs are issued to minor children, and in rare cases to adults. Submit the following:

 
  • Completed Form PP1
  • Two current photographs 1" by 1.5"
  • Parent's passport in which child's name was previously endorsed.
  • Proof of father's nationality if child is born in the Nordic Region
  • A fee of Sek.300.00.
  • Home and work telephone numbers


EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE

Emergency Certificates are issued only in cases of genuine emergency. Please submit the following:
 
   
  
  • Self Explanatory letter giving the dates for your entry to the Nordic Region and the reason why you need the document
  • Indicate your travel itinerary, height, colour of eyes and hair & profession
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Expired passport
  • Birth certificate or National ID card
  • Home and work telephome numbers

    CHANGE OF NAME ON PASSPORT

    When a person has changed hi/her name, documentary evidence to support change must be produced.  Such as marriage certificate, a properly executed deed poll or a divorce certificate/decree.
