REQUIREMENTS AND WORK PROCESSES FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY

Under Section 37 of the Citizenship and Immigration Act 2011 the following categories of applicants, their children and spouses detailed below are eligible upon meeting the prescribed requirements. In normal practice holders of permanent residency are expected to be domiciled in the country.

 

 

Category D:- Applicants who are spouses of Kenya citizens married for at least three years;

  1. Applicants must give ample proof of marriage and family life besides documentation furnished; and
  2. In this framework, applicants may be required to appear in person for interview to confirm or verify these facts.

 

Requirements

  1. Application letter by Kenyan spouse
  2. Dully filled Form 23 and category D questionnaire
  3. Dully filled Questionnaire for intending applicants- Category D
  4. Dully filled residence status questionnaire for intending applicants
  5. Dully filled Residence status form
  6. Police Clearance Certificate (Original)
  7. Demonstrate marriage and family life
  8. Certified copy of the marriage certificate
  9. Copies of either passport/Identity card/ and birth certificate of Kenyan spouse
  10. Copy of passport /birth certificate/ of the foreign spouse
  11. Copies of work permit(s)/dependant pass of spouse if resident in Kenya
  12. 2 passport size photos Click for specifications;
  13. Processing fees SEK 500 (NON-REFUNDABLE)
  14. Issuance fees SEK 5,000 (PAYABLE ONCE UPON APPROVAL)
