Category A(Ex-Citizens of Kenya)

REQUIREMENTS AND WORK PROCESSES FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY

Under Section 37 of the Citizenship and Immigration Act 2011 the following categories of applicants, their children and spouses detailed below are eligible upon meeting the prescribed requirements. In normal practice holders of permanent residency are expected to be domiciled in the country.

 

Category A:- Applicants who were Kenya citizens at birth but now:-

  1. Have renounced or lost citizenship status;
  2. Are denied the opportunity by their countries of domicile from holding dual citizenship; and
  3. The children and spouses of the above-mentioned applicants.

 

Requirements

  1. Application letter
  2. Dully filled Form 23
  3. Dully filled questionnaire for intending applicants- Category A
  4. Dully filled residence status questionnaire for intending applicants
  5. Proof of Previous Kenya Citizenship-Copy of birth certificate/ Identity card/or Passport
  6. Certified copy of the current passport
  7. 2 passport size photos Click for specifications;
  8. Police Clearance Certificate issued by country of domicile
  9. Processing fees equivalent SEK 1000 (NON-REFUNDABLE)
  10. Issuance fees equivalent to SEK 1500(PAYABLE ONCE UPON APPROVAL)
